Aldborough’s Tree for Life!

On Wednesday 31st October, some of our Eco Warriors joined Trees for Cities in Seven Kings park and planted Aldborough’s very own tree! The children were told this tree would live for at least a thousand years and took great pride in helping to plant it. While at the park, the children looked at the different tree types. They learnt about why trees are so important to us and the environment, and will be using this new knowledge in their roles as Eco Warriors. Saim from Iguana class had the honour of naming our tree, choosing to call it ‘Aldborough’s Tree for Life’. The children then wrote pledges on purple ribbon about how they could help the environment and tied them to the tree. We will be visiting our tree regularly to check on its progress!
