Postcards for Kindness

The first week back at school and Year 5 were filled with stories about their summer holidays. After reading about the Postcards for Kindness campaign, we all decided to send our own. The children enjoyed planning, drafting and designing their post cards before creating their final copies, adorned with stamps and ready to post! The campaign initially began in South Derbyshire with just eight care homes requesting post cards from local holiday makers to reconnect their residents with the wider community. It was a success and Royal Mail has promoted the scheme across the UK. Year 5 are looking forward to sending festive postcards in December too.
