Attendance Winners
Congratulations to Iguana and Shark classes who have won the attendance trophy over the past week. A special congratulations as they both achieved 100% attendance. Well done!
Safety in St Johns Road
We would like to thank parents and carers for helping us to ensure the morning drop off remains safe for our children and community. There are still a small number of families who are stopping their car in the middle of St Johns Road allowing their child to leave the car. We kindly ask you not to do this, but find a safe space to stop and park. This will ensure the safety of all, and minimise congestion on this road.
We thank you for your co-operation.
Dare to Dream—Vets
Our future vets had a wonderful time at KidZania recently. They spent some time in the PDSA section, experiencing and trying out the role of a vet. They learnt how to attend to the needs of a sick animal, understand the different levels of treatment that may need to be administered and assisted in veterinary check-ups and surgical procedures to nurse animals back to health. They then had the opportunity to try some other vocations including being a chef and a fireman. The children really enjoyed their experience and all of them have said they still aspire to be vets when they are older! The children were fantastic ambassadors for our school and we are very proud of them all. Our next Dare to Dream experience is almost planned and we look forward to sharing this with you soon.
Platinum Jubilee celebration workshop
Redbridge Institute are offering a family learning course this half term. The family learning team will be delivering science workshops during the May half term celebrating Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Author session
Our Year 3 children were fortunate enough to attend a virtual author session today with Lucy Hawkings to celebrate the publication of her new book ‘Princess Olivia Investigates: The Wrong Weather’. This is the first book in her fantastic new fiction series and it was amazing for the children to hear from an author who was able to share her experiences of being a successful writer. We are very grateful to Lucy for offering this wonderful opportunity.
Year 6 SATs
Our year 6 children have had their KS2 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs). They joined us at 8.30am each day and enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast made by our chef. We are incredibly proud of the children for the effort they put in as well as their positive attitude throughout the week. They are a credit to each of their families and our school. Well done Year 6, we are so proud of each and every one of you!
Queen’s Jubilee
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee falls during our half term and we do not want to go without marking this milestone in British History. 2022 marks the 70th year of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the Queen of the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Commonwealth, the first British monarch to reach this milestone.
On the 27th May we will be celebrating this momentous occasion with a special lunch and a range of activities.
Each year group will focus on a decade of her reign and produce work that will culminate in a whole school display.
We hope to share this with you very soon!

Please ensure your children are in the correct school uniform at all times. This includes black shoes (not trainers) and black or purple hair bands (no bows, glitter or patterned bands). The PE uniform consists of black jogging bottoms or shorts, white polo shirt and black plimsolls or trainers.
